Trace Adkins Wife Files for Divorce
After 16 years of marriage, Rhonda Adkins, wife of 52-year-old country singer Trace Adkins, had decided that she can choose to either work out her marital issues with the man who’s provided a good home for her, three beautiful daughters, and a comfortable living, or she can toss him out, keep his home, his children, and his money. She opted for the latter as she wants it all plus what must be generous amount of alimony and child support, and their primary residence. Mrs. Adkins also wants to be named as the irrevocable beneficiary on his life insurance policy as well.
For now, she has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce, but if the singer of “You’re Gonna Miss This” decides he doesn’t want to give her all that she’s asking for, the proverbial fur will fly.
For his part, Adkins has been working through a lot of inner demons as of late. He hit a rock bottom in January with his drinking problem and checked himself into rehab. The treatment was interrupted due to his father’s rapidly deteriorating health. His father passed away on February 1. However, as a testament to his sobriety, he returned to rehab and completed it by the end of the month.
His acting career is starting to take off as well. He made a strong impression as the leader of a biker gang in the film “The Lincoln Lawyer”. The upcoming film “Mom’s Night Out” has him in a co-starring role. The film is currently in post-production. As of this Monday, they have separated from one another. It is not clear where Trace is staying at for the moment. The treatment he has been under has been very good for him. He’s slimmed up a bit and is feeling the boost of energy concomitant to being sober and at peace in his life.
