Illinois Woman Tips 3 Waitresses $5000 Each

Three young waitresses who set out for what they thought would be just another typical day waiting tables received a big surprise over the weekend. Amy Sabani, Amber Kariolich, and Sarah Seckinger were chatting with each other about financial struggles while going about their normal Saturday morning duties at the Boone County Family Restaurant in Caledonia, IL. The young women were completely unaware that their anonymous benefactor was listening in to their conversation about their dreams and money troubles.

A tearful Amber Kariolich told television reporters, “it means a lot.” “We’re still a little shaky from it all,” 25 year old Amy Sabani told WIFR-TV with a big smile. “I wasn’t even waiting on her. I was just rolling silverware, and we were talking about school and braces and loans and everything we can’t afford,” a smiling Sarah Seckinger told the news reporters. She went on to add, “and she just took it upon herself.”

The restaurant said on Facebook that they would not identify the young women’s benefactor. On its Facebook page was posted, “This very nice lady walked in today at the restaurant and gave $5,000 to each of my waitresses. What a nice lady.”
