Anti-Social Sexist Gorilla Booted from Dallas Zoo to South Carolina Zoo

Officials at the Dallas Zoo have confirmed that the 430 pound gorilla from the Western lowlands known as Patrick has been dismissed from his home and will be going to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in South Carolina.

Patrick is accused of being a sexist following his assault of a female gorilla which he bit. He is also accused of sneering at other gorillas. Officials say that he gets along with humans, but is a bit of a loner when it comes to chilling with his own kind.

The South Carolina zoo will be a sort of resident treatment center for Patrick as that zoo is skilled in dealing with animals displaying behavioral issues. He will his own crib or pad all to himself at least initially.

Dallas officials were quick to stress their long-suffering credentials towards the expulsion of Patrick. They say he has been at the zoo for eighteen years and wore out his welcome despite their best efforts. Also, with the acquisition of two new gorillas and space being at a premium, there wasn’t enough room for the strong silent type of gorilla.

Zoo keepers in the Riverbanks Zoo have a plan in place to gradually re-integrate Patrick with other gorillas.
