“Breastaraunt” Treadmark Filed In The U.S.
The CEO of the budding chain of restaurants known as Bikinis Sports Bar has announced the successful trademark of the name “breastaurant”.
The trademark was officially granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Doug Guller can now legally say he operates the only “breastaurant” in the nation.
The claim is purely legalese and doesn’t change what customers have come to expect from other such restaurants especially the much larger chain called “Hooters”.
Still, Guller expects the trademark to generate additional business for his new Texas town called “Bikinis”. Yes, that is the name of the town he owns.
“We’re really excited about receiving this federal trademark,” Guller said in a statement. “Our team has worked hard over the last seven years to offer a unique experience to our fans. It just further solidifies that Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill is America’s ONLY breastaurant.”
Guller purchased a ghost town on Craigslist and has renamed it “Bikinis”. He will open another sports bar in the town and hopes the trademark and town will become a tourist destination. The town of Bikinis was formerly known as Bankersmith. Restaurants such as these are a billion dollar industry in the United States.
As Drew Neisser of Renegade Marketing Group tells ABC, it’s a growing market and establishments like “hooter.” should be scared.
“Hooters should be very scared. The category can only grow so much. Tilted Kilt and the others are stealing Hooters’ customers.”
