Is Celine Dion’s Marriage In Trouble?

The legendary iconic singer Celine Dion has been seen as of late without her wedding ring and questions have arisen whether her 19-year marriage to Rene Angelil is on the path to ending. Rene Angelil of course, is well known to have played a pivotal role in Celine’s worldwide musical success as her long time manager.

The tabloid magazine “The National Enquirer”, long known for its journalistic integrity and ability to tell the truth, is insinuating that Canada’s most successful music artist is breaking up with her husband of 19 years. The story is based on a photograph recently taken of Dion without her wedding ring.

While some sources close to Dion say that it is not unusual for her to perform without her wedding ring, she has been seen recently looking more drawn, tense and preoccupied whenever they are seen together and sources at the American tabloid The National Enquirer note that Celine looks “miserable”.

In a recent interview, Celine stated that her marriage with Angelil who is 26 years older than her, has seen some difficult times as of late and that marriage “was difficult”. She also indicated in her interview that her mother was opposed to the union years ago.

The recent set of photographs were taken October 29, 2013, enroute to do a sound check for a performance. While a close confidant to Celine Dion, states the story is “lame”, there has been no direct comment on the matter by Celine Dion herself or her husband Rene Angelil.

So it’s quite possible that this story is about as real as the recent Celine Dion death hoax, one of many over the years.

“Sometimes it’s freaky because I have to call my family about it. I was celebrating the birthday of my twins in Montreal and I was getting these phone calls saying there was stuff on Facebook that I was dead, Dio told Digital Spy. “The thing that worries me is my mom. It makes me a little mad — she’s 86 years old and if I’m not on the phone telling her I’m OK four seconds after it’s on the news… it doesn’t matter what they say, it’s the impact it has on your family.”
