Half Brothers Collapse and Die Days Apart After Running

Peter Berry and half brother Rynn Berry both loved to participate in running as an exercise. In a cruel twist of fate, the brothers died just days apart from each other, both after running in New York City. 68-year old Rynn suffered a heart attack after jogging in Prospect Park on New Year’s Eve and died nine days later. His 60-year old brother Peter died of heart failure while jogging in Central Park 10 days after Rynn’s unexpected death.

The third brother in the family, Charles Berry, said that the loss of his two brothers within a short time period proved to be a difficult shock to all of the Berry family but he expressed gratitude for the many messages of sympathy left by fellow New Yorkers. Heart trouble seems to run in the Berry family. The eldest of the four siblings, Eliot Berry, succumbed to heart failure in 2008.
