Jared Leto has tackled a lot of tough characters in his movie career. He had gained over 50 pounds to portray Mark David Chapman in “Chapter 27” and he lost more than 25 points to play a long time drug addict in “Requiem for a Dream”, but his biggest transformation for a role may be in the soon to be released feature film “Dallas Buyers Club”.
In the new motion picture Leto will portray a transsexual who is infected with the Aids virus. The film finished shooting several months ago, but Leto recently got back into character to take part in a special photo shoot for a “Candy Magazine” photo shoot. Leto in full make up appears on the cover of the magazine.
He changed his look dramatically for this film as well. He lost a lot of weight to fit into the roll and he also went the extra mile by waxing his entire body, eyebrows and all.
His acting has been critically acclaimed in several films such as “American Psycho”, “Fight Club”, “Lord of War”, and “Panic Room” but the 41 year old actor hasn’t been in a feature length film for almost five years. He’s been concentrating on singing and song writing with his band 30 Seconds to Mars.
