You might have heard a little while ago that Jessica Alba had launched a startup, The Honest Company, a subscription based service that sells family products (skin care, diapers, etc.) that don’t do any sort of damage to the environment and contain no toxic chemicals that could hurt anyone in your family.

The service has people sign up to get a monthly bundle of products to receive every month – a constant flow of products to try out if you will. Alba had already gotten a decent amount of investment from a few companies back when she first started, namely General Catalyst Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, but the company needed more room to grow and expand, so enter another round of funding.

In this latest funding round, Honest picked up an additional 25 million dollars in funding from Institutional Venture Partners and Iconiq Capital, making a total of $52 million in funding up until this point.

“This new round of funding will provide essential resources for us to continuously expand our suite of products and bring them to households around the world,” CEO and co-founder Brian Lee said in a statement. “We created The Honest Company with the dream to one day provide natural, affordable products to families everywhere.

“Our mission at The Honest Company is to provide healthier, more sustainable products for today’s families and generations to come. We are excited to work with supportive partners that share the same vision and look forward to continued growth and reach,” said Alba in a statement.

It’s always great to see celebrities taking their money and making something new, interesting, and exciting from it, and with a successful company like Honest, it looks like Alba’s business prospects in the years to come have nowhere to go but up.
