Detention Records for John Lennon Recently Revealed

A copy of John Lennon’s detention sheet from Quarry Bank High School for Boys in Liverpool, which is being auctioned by TracksAuction.com.
The details of the young Lennon’s detentions were discovered by an enterprising teacher in the late 1970s.
He had been asked to clear out a storage room to make space for a newly-appointed teacher and had been instructed to burn all the books stored in the room.
One such detention sheet written up for Lennon included a disciplinary infraction for fighting another classmate during the middle of a high school lecture. John was thought to have punched the poor lad repeatedly in the face, and then kicked the boy several times while he was on the ground.
Another detention sheet for the rock legend was issued because he failed to pay attention during required classes. His teachers recall him as quite a poor student, have almost no interest whatsoever in learning anything. He was said to have largely dazed off into his own world during important lectures. In some cases he was even caught napping.
One other sheet was issued to John for horseplay and being a general nuisance while on the school grounds. He was said to have frequently taunted teachers and other students, sometimes even randomly shoving people in the school halls, or shouting obscenities at them.
