Simpson’s Daughter Maxwell Steals Mom’s Spotlight

There was as much talk and excitement generated by the appearance of Jessica Simpson’s daughter Maxwell as a recent publicity outing as there was by mom Jessica’s growing baby bump. Simpson made her appearance last weekend in Charlotte, NC to promote her own fashion line a family affair by having daughter Maxwell in tow and being joined by her sister Ashlee Simpson. Daughter Maxwell, who celebrates her first birthday this May, drove photographers in attendance just gaga with her photogenic good looks, proving that like mother, like daughter. Simpson teased that Maxwell sports the same big pouty lips as her famous mother.

Maxwell accommodated the photographers by adopting a series of cute and adorable poses while both Simpson sisters were busy signing autographs and chatting with their legion of music and fashion fans. Even Eric Johnson, Simpson’s fiancé, made an appearance to be supportive of his pregnant girlfriend, who recently let it slip while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel’s nighttime talkfest that she was expecting a son for her second child. Simpson let the cat out of the bag when she made a thinly veiled joke about wieners making her nauseous, then admitting that the sex of her upcoming child is male.
