Recently, Jessica Simpson appeared on an episode of “Ellen” with Ellen Degeneres. The subject of Simpson’s second pregnancy became the focus of the appearance.
It seems as though the star hinted at carrying a boy during the taping. With that in mind, reports surfaced awhile ago saying almost as much. Still, this recent hint only makes things more interesting for fans that are dying to know the concrete answer.
During the show, Degeneres asked Simpson specifically about the sex of the baby. The pop star didn’t reveal anything with her answer.
Degeneres then revealed two gift baskets for the star, saying that she could only take one home. At that point, Simpson smiled and said she would probably take the one for a baby boy.
Without a doubt, such a response looks like a strong hint at the baby’s sex.
A source close to the singer has suggested that Simpson has already chosen a name for the child she is expecting.
She has allegedly already been admitting to close friends that her second child will be a son that she will give the name Ace.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: ‘She’s told people she’s going to name the baby Ace.’
Ace will be brother to 10-month old daughter Maxwell Drew born just last year.
Although their daughter’s name was chosen as a tribute to names connected with Simpson’s mother and Johnson’s grandmother, there is no indication why the name Ace was selected for the couple’s firstborn son.
The 32-year old Simpson, who became a national spokesperson for Weight Watchers while trying to lose the baby fat she accumulated while carrying her first daughter, only acknowledged last December that she was already pregant again for the second time. She admits that this second pregnancy was not planned and views it as part of God’s plan for her life.
Despite the fact she is already expecting again, Simpson will remain the face of the diet company.
“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica,” a rep for Weight Watchers told ABC News. “Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”
They tweeted: “Congrats to @JessicaSimpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell! Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you’ve had!”
