Many generations ago, jesters were instrumental in keeping the royalty within the castle entertained and in good spirits. These jokers were a special treat specifically used by those noble royals, so it might be a little surprising that jesters are trying to make a comeback.

A hotel in Austria is looking to offer its occupants a luxury experience unlike anything they have ever experienced before. Since jesters were set aside for nobility before, it makes sense that by providing the guests with a jester, they too would feel like royalty.

According to the director of the hotel, the structure was designed by the famous Friedensreich Hundertwasser. His colorful design fits the idea of adding in a jester perfectly. The hotel is currently seeking out interested applicants, to which they are willing to provide the person who gets the job 1,400 euros a month.

The director of the hotel wanted to stress that this was a very serious position, and those coming in for an interview should be prepared. Applicants should bring a musical instrument with them and be willing to play something for entertainment purposes, as well as express their creative side to reach out to new people coming to the hotel.
