Kanye Rips Taylor Swift, Other Artists During Rant

Recent Kanye West Rant Includes Taylor Swift

35-year-old rapper Kanye West has once again criticized singer Taylor Swift publicly.

On February 23, while performing a concert at the London Hammersmith Apollo, West ranted:

“Taylor Swift beat Beyonce at the Grammys? Beyonce be dancing in heels and sh**.”

Although the concert included rants against other people including Beyonce, this comment did surprise many given that West’s criticisms of Swift have damaged his reputation and business in the past.

In 2009, many fans, music industry celebrities and moneymakers, and critics alike actually turned against West after he interrupted Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards during her acceptance speech. His was angry that Swift won the Best Female Video category instead of Beyonce.

His latest comment seems to be a sign that West still has not let go of his personal issues with Swift although he publicly apologized to her for his behavior at the VMAs.

During his nearly 10-minute-long rant, West also critized artists who use their stature to sell products.

“Remind me again why we in this s***?” West sang repeatedly. “Since when was making art about getting rich?”

“Can I sell a drink for you please? So you can help me put on a better show. Please corporations. Can you please support me, Kanye West? I swear I’m a nice n**** now,” he said. “I swear I’ll put the pink polo back on. I swear to you. Please? Just for three million dollars. I need it so bad. I need a new pool in my back yard,” he added.
