Mayor Staff Member Grilled by Police on Murder of Person Tied to Cocaine Video

Toronto police are investigating the murder of a man who appeared in a video that shows Toronto Mayor Rob Ford allegedly smoking crack cocaine.

A senior official in the mayor’s office has been questioned by Toronto police, according to the Globe and Mail. This interview could be seeking information about the murder of Anthony Smith, 21, who was shot in killed in Toronto in March. This source interviewed by police may know where the video is located. The video may have been offered for sale to a number of media outlets by drug dealers. The online website Gawker is trying to raise $200,000 to buy the incriminating video evidence. So far, the site has collected $184,000 in a fund raising effort.
