Any woman who has ever had a baby knows how hard it is to lose the baby weight and get your abs back. Shakira is no different. After delivering her son Milan in January, she set to work to get her post pregnancy body back.
Shakira, who admits it wasn’t easy, admitted her stomach looked less than flattering after giving birth. However, she gives these tips in her interview with Self Magazine.
The star known for her fantastic abs worked out during her pregnancy.
The singer told Self Magazine, “I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy. This helped me not gain too much weight.” After the birth of her son, she increased her Zumba workouts to 4-5 mornings a week. Shakira even took private lessons with the creator and CEO of Zumba, Beto Perez, for a week.
One look at the cover of the magazine shows her hard work has paid off. Although, some could say her attitude goes a long way as well. In her interview with Self, Shakira said, “I don’t obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection.” With an attitude like that, it is easy to see how she got her perfect figure back so quickly.
