Losing the Baby Weight not a priority for Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell

Actress Kristen Bell became a mother just this past March but losing the baby weight while filming the new Veronica Mars movie has not been a priority.

Bell, who is 33 years old, has publicly stated in the September issue of Redbook that losing the baby weight is not a priority and that she is focusing on being a mother and working.

“I’m proud to sit out the baby weight rat race,” Bell posted to her Twitter followers on Friday.

“I like my Lincoln leftovers because they’re proof I did something extraordinary,” she added.

“I gave life to my new BFF & she gave me a comical amount of midsection skin.”

According to her own estimations, Bell is still 15 pounds heavier than before her pregnancy, but has already lost weight by breastfeeding, low-impact workouts, and eating more fruits and vegetables.

As for the rest of the weight, Bell said she refuses to “make myself miserable for the rest of my life trying to get back to where I was before.”

“I’m going to continue working out and see where it goes,” said the star. “I’d like to get back down to where I was before the baby… but if this is where my body wants to be, so be it.”

The new Veronica Mars movie, which was funded by fans of the television show, has already started filming. Bell has been spotted on set looking svelte and healthy. Bell has even made comments on twitter about her new figure and why she is in no hurry to lose the baby weight.

The Veronica Mars movie will hit theaters sometime in early 2014 and is highly anticipated. Details of the movie haven’t been released but the movie reunites most of the original cast years after the series ended.

The original series, which was a fan favorite, was canceled in 2007 after just three seasons. A movie had been discussed for quite sometime but it took a Kickstarter campaign to get funding for the film. Filming began shortly after with Bell reprising her role as Veronica Mars. The first footage from the film was released at a panel at Comic Con.
