Drake and Chris Brown sue over NY Nightclub fight

Pop stars Chris Brown and Drake have both filed suit’s with New York courts over a fight between the pair and their entourages in June 2012 at the W.i.P. nightclub. The pair are alleged to have come to blows when they argued over their romantic links to singer Rihanna; a number of lawsuits have been filed over the fight with bystanders claiming they were injured by stray punches and bottles thrown in the melee.

The owners of W.i.P., Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. filed a lawsuit for $20 million after claiming they lost licinsing deals because of the bad publicity caused by the fight; bystanders, including model Romain Juliena and NBA basketball star Tony Parker have also filed lawsuits for compensation after being injured in the scuffle. The documents filed by Drake and Chris Brown will allow a court to decide who is responsible for the fight and is responsible for paying any compensation awarded to injured parties.
