Celeb Moms: Gwyneth Says Third Child Was Miscarriage

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed a heartbreaking tragedy she suffered, saying that she almost died when she miscarried her third child.

She and musician husband Chris Martin are the parents of a son and a daughter, but their third try to add a brother or sister to these siblings almost resulted in Paltrow losing her life.

Paltrow told the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine she nearly died.

“I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third,” she says in the interview in the U.K. publication.

Paltrow did not reveal how long ago she suffered the miscarriage but says she is seriously considering another pregnancy.

“You never know, I could squeeze one more in,” she says. “I am missing my third.”

Although her children pester her all the time about giving them a new brother or sister, Paltrow is already forty and may be running out of time, although she says the thought of having another child is foremost in her thinking.

She praises husband Chris as being a terrific father and says the way he treats their children makes her realize how fortunate she is to have chosen a really good man to build a family with.

“Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father,” she says. “He is so good to the children, and to know that you had kids with such a good man is like a real weight off you. We are committed co-parents, we make all decisions together, and we lean on each other for support as well.”
