IOS7 Problems For Canadian Bank: iOS7 issue with RBC Mobile transfers to credit card accounts

Apple’s new iOS 7 release is just days old, but already the electronics giant is having more than a few bugs to deal with.

The Royal Bank Of Canada has now issued a warning to its customers about problems with IOS7 and moblie money transfers.

A message on the RBC website reads:

iOS7 issue with RBC Mobile transfers to credit card accounts

Clients who have downloaded the new iOS7 are encountering an issue when transferring funds from a bank account to a credit card account. When selecting the “Confirm” button the RBC Mobile application closes immediately without indicating whether the transaction was completed. However, the transaction does successfully go through; and can be verified by signing back in to RBC Mobile or Online Banking. There is no need to re-submit the transaction a second time, as this will result in a duplicate transaction.

We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, several sites have reported a bug which involves security access without a passcode.

The passcode lock bug allows thieves to access the device without entering a security code. The bug is triggered by activating the new Control Centre, selecting the alarm clock and attempting to shut down the device, then cancelling the operation, which gives users access to the device’s homescreen.

Apple said it is aware of the passcode bug and is working on a fix.
