iOS 7 Download Now Available In Canada, Sort Of – Software Update Unavailable? (UPDATE)
iPhone 5s Release Date For Canada September 20th
Some users are reporting getting the following message when trying to download IOS 7.
Software Update Unavailable
Some users are reporting that installing the update via usb connection to their iTunes account the download works (eventually).
Hopefully Apple can sort of the issue soon.
One eCanadaNow reader suggested the following:
1) Do a hard reset via holding down power and home until the phone shuts off.
2) Turn on the phone; enter password
3) Open the Settings section and go to Wireless Settings
4) Press the arrow next to the wireless network the phone is on, scroll down, and hit forget network.
5) Go out and turn off the Wi-Fi
6) Close the Settings
7) Open Settings app, go to Wireless Settings, turn on Wi-Fi again
8) Connect to wireless network
9) Access Settings > General >Software Update
10) Click install on the available update.

iPhone 5S to Go on Sale in Canada September 20
Two days ago, Apple Inc. unveiled to the world the latest and greatest model of their successful iPhone to date which is the model 5S.
The long anticipated iPhone will officially go on sale in Canada on September 20 in what Apple hopes will be record sales.
The launch will kick off on the same day in Canada, the United States, Australia and China. The latter is the first time for that country to participate in an initial launch of the iPhone and sign of the emergence of the Chinese economy given that the iPhone is considered a near luxury item in many parts of the world due to its hefty price tag.
Earlier this week TELUS and Bell announced iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s availability and now Rogers and Fido have as well. Fido has sent out the following announcement on Twitter:

What will it cost to get an iPhone 5S? It depends on how much memory you want. However, presuming the consumer is singing up for a two-year contract, the 5S will cost $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB version, and $399 for the 64GB edition.
The much touted Touch ID fingerprint scanner is built into the home button of the 5S and has impressive specifications due it its ability to scan the sub-epidermal skin layer and read the full 360 degrees of the finger tip. The scanner itself is only 170 microns thin and boasts 500 ppi resolution.
