Lohan’s Latest Tax Woe

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to tax problems and wrangling with both the Internal Revenue Service and the State of California. This will be the third straight year in which Lohan will face a significant penalty for unpaid back taxes.

Lohan, 26, reportedly owes nearly %57,000 to the State of California in unpaid back taxes related to her earnings during 2011, in which she took in at least $900,000 from her photo shoot with Playboy magazine alone. In 2009, Lohan owed unpaid federal taxes of over $93,000 and followed up that problem with an even larger debt the next year, owing over $140,000 in back taxes.

Her tax issue in 2009 was paid back thanks to a $100,000 check from another troubled actor, Charlie Sheen. Lohan is reportedly broke, despite the $20 million in career earnings over the last 15 years.
