Dorothy Hamill, Andy Dick To Compete On DWTS Season 16

Olympic Skater Dorothy Hamill Joints Latest DWTS Contestants
Can 1976 Olympic skating champion Dorothy Hamill transfer the grace and skill she exhibited on the ice to the dance floor?
Viewers of the next season of the highly rated “Dancing With the Stars” television show will soon find out as Hamill has been named one of the 11 contestants on the soon to premiere new season.
The Connecticut native who was once married to Dean Martin’s son, joins country western singer Wynona Judd, comedians Andy Dick and D. L. Hughley, Professional football player and Baltimore Ravens team member Jacoby Jones, “American Idol” singer Kellie Pickler, boxing champ Victor Ortiz, soap star Ingo Rademacher, actress-singer Zendaya Coleman, Olympic Gymnast Aly Raisman and Beverly Hills reality star Lisa Vanderpump as they compete in weekly dance competition.
Hamill, who retired shortly after winning gold at the 1976 Olympic Games and joined the Ice Capades to skate professionally the following year, inspired a nationwide fashion craze with her signature wedge haircut.
The new “Dancing With the Stars” season kicks off on ABC with a two-hour premiere on March 18.
In Canada, Dancing With the Stars airs on CTV.
