Idol Star Signs Up for Reality Dancing

Country singer Kelly Pickler, who also appeared as a contestant on American Idol, has signed on to Dancing with the Stars. News of her upcoming appearance on the popular reality program spread across the Internet on Monday, exciting fans of both shows.

Although Pickler’s appearance on DWTS has not yet been made official, a number of sources have stated that she will be in the show’s lineup. The full show roster will be announced Tuesday on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Aside from Pickler, fellow crooner Wynona Judd and Baltimore Ravens wide-receiver Jacoby Jones are expected to participate in the show’s upcoming season.

Pickler, 26, drew the media’s attention a few months ago when she had her blonde locks shorn off in support of a friend who was fighting cancer. Prior to that, she was a Maxim cover girl and spoke proudly of the tour her band did with the USO.

Pickler would be the first-ever ‘American Idol’ contestant to join the cast of ‘DWTS’, which is entering its 16th season.
