Lisa Vanderpump Faints During DWTS Rehearsal

52-year-old English restaurateur and reality TV star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has joined the club of distinguished celebrities to faint or fall on the show “Dancing with the Stars”. Apparently, Vanderpump pushed herself too far by engaging in the strenuous dance regimen while being sick.

She learned the hard way that the “Cha Cha”, swollen glands, and a viral induced fever do not mix well.

She fainted while practicing her latest dance routine with partner Gleb Savchenko during rehearsal.

Vanderpump is still in the hospital recovering from the viral infection. She described the incident on her “People.com” blog saying she had only fainted once prior. She also said that one moment she was dancing the “Cha Cha” and the next moment doctors were explaining to her what happened.

“I was in shock when I woke up. I fainted only once before in my life. The doctor found that I had a viral infection with fever and swollen glands… I ended up with low blood pressure and a rapid heart rate, which is why I fainted,” she wrote.

The virus has both raised her heart rate and lowered her blood pressure which combination caused her to faint. Vanderpump is still listed as participating on the popular ABC show.

She had been struggling on the show and barely avoided elimination last week when she made it into the infamous “bottom two” with Wynnona Judd. Unfortunately, Judd’s fans didn’t come through for her, and she was eliminated.
