Official Autopsy Report Release on Paul Walker’s Death
Los Angeles, CA – the county coroner’s office has released the official autopsy results for Paul Walker, age 40, and his friend Roger Rodas, age 38.
The official cause of death for Walker was death by succumbing to the multiple traumatic injuries from the impact of the crash and from thermal injuries. For Rodas, the cause of death was from multiple traumatic injuries. Rodas was confirmed to have been the driver the accident occurred.
The autopsy conducted by Los Angeles County Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner showed that the driver of the car, Roger, 38, died of multiple traumatic injuries. Paul, 40, died of “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” Thermal injuries are defined as “damages to tissue from a heat source or photo-thermal reaction.”
It will be another six to eight weeks before the toxicology results are obtained which can shed light on whether any substances legal or otherwise played a role in their deaths. The coroner’s report does not conclude on what caused the accident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Early on, tire skid marks at the scene gave the appearance that the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT the men were in was involved in a doughnut spin, but a tire expert later said the marks looked too thin to have been caused by the vehicle they were driving.

The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT has a V-10 engine has 610-horsepower and is reported to be difficult to handle. With that in mind, both Rodas and Walker were experienced and risk averse drivers.
Universal has decided to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 to decide how to proceed with the movie.
According to Vanity Fair, only half the scenes have been filmed so far. The studio has also released an official statement on the actor’s tragic passing and the state of the franchise:
Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker.
The studio has also pledged to donate a percentage of the proceeds from Fast & Furious 6 home sales to Walker’s charity Reach Out Worldwide.
Meanwhile, COTY incorporated issued an apology following a bout of controversy sparked by the airing of a “Davidoff Cool Water” commercial starring Walker. The commercial depicts the actor racing in a convertible, and upon arriving at the edge of a cliff alongside his competition, diving into the ocean below.
This gaffe stems just hours from the recent and abrupt loss of the beloved actor on November 30th in a fatal car crash.
